Clinical Rotations/Community-Based Learning Experiences

We are very pleased to assist with student placements in AHEC rotations throughout our communities!

Medical Schools statewide partner with the Pennsylvania AHEC to "assist in the development of health professions workforce throughout different AHEC regions of Pennsylvania through education, training, and public awareness. The AHECs work to improve the supply, distribution, retention, quality, utilization, and efficiency of a health care workforce committed to under-served populations."

Our students are fortunate to rotate through some of the major teaching institutions that fall within a designated AHEC region.

For Pennsylvania AHEC to maintain our vital role in rural health care it is imperative for the state to track the number of students who rotate through a given site within a designated AHEC region throughout the year so that we can continue to support these important efforts.

Our focus is on Primary Care Rotations in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Psychiatry, particularly at underserved and rural sites.

Towards the end of each rotation block, students will receive a notification or can visit our website directly to complete the following surveys:

NE PA AHEC Student Profile

Clinical Rotation

The Student Profile is only required to be completed once.
The Clinical Rotation survey should be completed after each rotation within an AHEC region.
