Career Counseling Services

Northeast PA AHEC offers services to assist high school students and college students in pursuing health professions degrees, especially students from disadvantaged backgrounds, rural areas, or minority populations. These services include discounted standardized test preparation courses, individualized career counseling, and linkages to existing health professionals.

We offer career planning services for high school students and college students to select appropriate educational programs and choose a major and career path. Career planning is also available for identifying skills and experience necessary to compete for jobs, internships, and professional programs, including resume writing, essay review, and mock interview practice. Our Health Educators have worked both in industry or human resource functions as well as college or university environments. We understand what colleges, admissions committees, and employers are looking for in order to assist students in making a career choice.
