Preceptor Sites - The Community-Based Teaching (CBT) program of the American College of Physicians - American Society of Internal Medicine recommends the following web sites to enhance office-based teaching skills:
CBT website - Here preceptors can access text books and articles on community-based teaching, as well as direct links to all the above sites. Mountain AHEC, North Carolina - The NC AHEC has been around for over 25 years and has a very developed web site that includes self-learning modules and chat rooms for preceptors. Society of Teachers of Family Medicine - Under its section on "Preceptor Education," the STFM web site offers recent columns "For the Office-Based Teacher of Family Medicine," a book list for preceptors and information on STFM's Preceptor Education Project.
